Wood Partners has continued to grow its multifamily presence in the Atlanta metro area, opening its latest 269-unit community in Newnan, Ga. The developer began construction on the property, Alta Ashley Park, in early 2021.
The community features one-, two- and three-bedroom units, ranging from 672 to 1,442 square feet. Some of the units offered are full carriage homes. The units have full-size in-unit washers and dryers, while common-area amenities include a clubhouse, coworking lounge, game room, coffee bar and catering kitchen. Residents also have access to outdoor amenities, including a pool, sundeck, an outdoor lounge, a fire pit, an activity lawn, a dog park and a beer garden.
Located at 101 Ashley Park Drive, Alta Ashley Park is approximately three miles from Newnan’s downtown, which has several restaurant and retail options. The property is a short commute from some of the area’s top employers, including Amazon, Kellogg’s, HelloFresh, Yamaha and Cancer Treatment Centers of America. The community is also an approximately 40-mile commute to Atlanta via Interstate 85, connecting residents to additional major employers, including Home Depot, Coca-Cola and Delta Airlines.
Expanding in the Atlanta area
Atlanta-based Wood Partners has several ongoing or recently-completed residential projects in Georgia. In May, Wood Partners opened Alta Bridges, a 250-unit community in McDonough, Ga. The property is located 30 miles south of Atlanta. Last year, the company broke ground on Alta North, a 310-unit luxury community in Cumming, Ga. Wood Partners aims to complete the luxury community, located approximately 45 miles from downtown Atlanta, in late 2023.
Outside of Georgia, Wood Partners has a portfolio of more than 70 properties across the U.S., totaling more than 20,000 units. In May, the company opened both Alta Blue Goose, a 300-unit community in Austin, Texas and Alta Filament, a 352-unit community in Charlotte, N.C.
