Editorial Guidelines for Contributed MHN Articles

  • MHN Editors have the right to accept or reject any submissions based upon what they believe would be of interest to the target audience.

  • All submissions must be vendor-neutral. While a vendor can submit an article, there should be a neutral position taken in the submission and should not be written as a product pitch.

  • Submissions should be specifically targeted to MHN’s Audience, which includes multifamily owners, investors, developers, and managers. Anything too general may be rejected.

  • Submissions should be approximately 800 to 1,000 words.

  • The contributed articles should be unpublished in competing publications. If it has been published in a non-competing publication, please note this in the submission.

  • All submissions should include headshots or photos, as appropriate.

    • Website:

Images to run along with stories on the website should be at least 800 x 600 pixels (72 dpi)

    • Digital Edition:

Images for the Digital Editions need to be high resolution, at least 3 inches by 5 inches (300 dpi is preferred but 150 dpi is also acceptable).

Images that are to be considered as full page illustrations (or possible cover images) should be high resolution files and measure at least 9 inches wide by 10.5 inches tall.

  • All submissions should include an author blurb.
