Wood Partners Delivers 352-Unit Charlotte Property

The project benefited from a $46 million construction loan.

Wood Partners has opened Alta Filament, a 352-unit luxury multifamily community in Charlotte, N.C. The project is subject to a $46 million construction loan originated by Comerica Bank in 2021, according to Yardi Matrix data. The property is operated by the developer’s management branch, Wood Residential.

The property comprises 352 one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans, along with 22 townhomes, ranging from 558 to 1,923 square feet. Apartments feature air conditioners, in-unit washers and dryers and private balconies or patios. Resident amenities include a fitness center, swimming pool, coworking spaces, podcast studio, pet wash area and an outdoor kitchen with barbecue stations.

Located at 525 East 21st St., the community is within the North Davidson neighborhood and less that 2 miles from downtown Charlotte. It is close to Interstate 277 and Highway 29, as well as near the Charlotte train station. Within walking distance of the community there are numerous retail and dining options. The Cordelia Park also sits across the street from the site.

Wood Partners currently operates 70 properties across the U.S. for a total of more than 20,000 units. In metro Charlotte, the developer owns several other properties, including Alta Croft and Alta Purl, as well as a couple of prospective developments, according to Yardi Matrix. Recently, the company broke ground on another project in North Carolina, located near Raleigh.
