Vesper Holdings Hires Industry Veteran as COO

Austin—Vesper Holdings, the nation’s 12th largest off-campus student housing provider, recently appointed Jim Sholders as COO of Campus Life & Style, the company’s recently formed management division. CLS is based in Austin and holds a portfolio totaling 9,000 beds in 15 properties scattered across 10 states.

With more than 27 years of industry experience, Sholders previously worked as senior vice president of management services for American Campus Communities, where he was in charge of fiscal operations, asset management, leasing and personnel supervision for almost a decade and a half. “Jim has unparalleled experience in this industry and a reputation for inspiring his teams,” said Elliot Tamir, co-founder & co-CEO of CLS and Vesper Holdings, in a prepared statement.

Campus Life & Style was founded by co-CEOs Elliot Tamir and Isaac Sitt in 2015 as a subsidiary of Vesper Holdings with the purpose of managing the company’s student housing portfolio. New York City-based private equity real estate investment firm Vasper Holdings was established in 2007. The company currently holds a portfolio valued at more than $500 million.
