Turner Impact Management Takes 2
Law enforcement and operations specialist Randy Slaughter and multifamily veteran Kathleen Ball are joining the investment firm’s leadership team.
Los Angeles and Dallas—Turner Impact Capital has expanded its management team with the addition of two experienced professionals. Randy Slaughter, a longtime law enforcement and operations specialist, has joined the firm as senior vice president of operations, safety and security. Kathleen Ball, a 30-year veteran of the multifamily industry, has also joined as senior asset manager for the firm’s multifamily housing initiatives.
Based in the firm’s Santa Monica headquarters, Slaughter will oversee all aspects of safety and security related to properties in the Turner Multifamily Impact Fund, Turner-Agassi Charter School Facilities Fund and the newly launched Turner Healthcare Facilities Fund. He will identify, quantify and mitigate risk at each property, promoting safe environments through the use of community-centered approaches to security, local partnerships and advanced technology. Slaughter has applied best practices in both local and federal law enforcement by integrating security programs for a variety of real estate asset classes.
Kathleen Ball is responsible for the operations, performance and resident experience throughout Turner Impact’s portfolio of multifamily properties. Based in Dallas, Ball brings extensive expertise in property acquisition due diligence, building rehab and maintenance, new construction, operations, resident and community retention programs, and more. Prior to joining the firm, she held positions with Mid-America Apartments, Bell Partners, AMLI Residential and Trammell Crow, among others.
The additions to Turner Impact Capital come as the firm continues to develop and expand its social impact investment strategies in education, multifamily housing and healthcare, harnessing $2.5 billion in investment potential.
“We are pleased to welcome Randy and Kathy to the growing Turner Impact team,” said Bobby Turner, principal and CEO of Turner Impact Capital, in prepared remarks. “These impressive professionals share our passion for harnessing market forces to tackle daunting societal challenges, and possess the skills and experience necessary to deliver results for investors as well as communities.”
