Charlotte, N.C.Rivergate KW Residential, a multifamily property management company based in Miami, is continuing its growth in the Carolinas, recently taking over operations of 621 new multifamily units.

The company added four new communities to its portfolio over the last few months. In September, Rivergate took on the management of Vistas @ 707, a 190-unit property in Charlotte’s Uptown area, consisting of one-, two- and three bedrooms and amenities like a game lounge, fitness center and saltwater pool. The acquisitions also include Cedar Flats, a new, 82-unit boutique community, located in Charlotte Center City. Retreat at the Park, a new 249-unit apartment community in Burlington, N.C., is now under Rivergate’s operation, too. In Charlotte’s SouthPark neighborhood, the company acquired Mezzo1, a 100-unit boutique community with studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments.

“The growth of our Carolinas portfolio is a testament to the people-first philosophy of our managers and staff. We are grateful for their hard work and dedication and look forward to further expanding our portfolio in the Carolinas and beyond,” said Marcie Williams, president of Rivergate KW Residential, in prepared remarks.

Rivergate KW Residential also added a new regional manager, multifamily specialist Janette Hendershott. Based in Charlotte, Hendershott brings 12 years of multifamily industry experience that includes lease-ups, developing teams, construction management, budget analysis, expense control and vendor management.

“I was very attracted to the corporate culture at Rivergate KW Residential, which encourages us to explore our creative side and find opportunities that would not be available everywhere. It is also appealing to have the chance to play a direct role in the evolution of the company. We plan to expand into new submarkets to continue our momentum throughout the Carolinas,” said Hendershott.

Over the last two years, Rivergate KW Residential brought its total portfolio of multifamily units under management to more than 6,000.
