NJBA Names Verdana Howell Community of the Year
The New Jersey Builders Association has named Verdana Howell, a Howell Township, N.J.-based joint-venture partnership between Sterling Properties and AST Development, as its “Community of the Year” among rental communities in the Garden State.

Howell Township, N.J.—The New Jersey Builders Association has named Verdana Howell, a Howell Township, N.J.-based joint-venture partnership between Sterling Properties and AST Development, as its “Community of the Year” among rental communities in the Garden State, with average rent under $2,000.
In addition to that honor, Verdana Howell also picked up four other prominent awards at the organization’s recent sales and marketing ceremony: “Best Home with an Average Base Rent Under $2,000,” “Best Clubhouse/Recreation Amenities in a Rental Community,” “Best Sales Office for a Rental Community” and “Best Big Idea Award—Marketing Strategy for a Rental Community.”

Developed last year, Verdana Howell consists of 22 two-story, garden-oriented buildings, offering spacious floor plans ranging from 750 to 1,306 square feet and boasting attached garages, individual controls for gas heating and central air conditioning and pre-wiring for cable TV, Internet and security alarm.
Each unit offers a private entrance, balcony, ceramic-tiled kitchens featuring shaker-style wood espresso cabinets and quarts countertops, ceramic-tiled bathroom floors, designer carpeting, stainless steel appliances and full-size washers and dryers.
The community contains a Residents’ Club, which features a state-of-the-art fitness studio, billiards and clubroom with Wi-Fi. Verdana residents also enjoy access to various high-end outdoor amenities including an outdoor pool, tennis court and tot lot.

The front four acres of Verdana Howell is adjacent to US Highway 9, and have been approved for commercial use up to 30,000 square feet.
