Yale Debuts Locksets at Builders’ Show
The new locks combine a leverset with an easy to re-key deadbolt and single motion egress to provide a cost effective solution for residential safety and security.
Las Vegas—Yale Locks & Hardware announced during the 2016 NAHB International Builders’ Show (IBS) a new line of interconnected mechanical locksets for use in multifamily applications. The new locks combine a leverset with an easy to re-key deadbolt and single motion egress to provide a cost effective solution for residential safety and security.
The new Yale YH Collection™ Residential Mechanical Interconnected Locksets are ANSI/BHMA Grade 2 certified and available in three functions–single locking, double locking or single locking with indicator. From the inside, both the latchbolt and the deadbolt are retracted simultaneously in a single motion for quick and easy egress.
The face-removable deadbolt design provides ready access to the cylinder without removing the deadbolt from the door, a significant benefit in multifamily applications that commonly require re-keying.
Both the single and double locking functions are also available with Small Format Interchangeable Core (SFIC). For maximum flexibility and convenience in the field, spacing between the deadbolt and lockset can be set at 4 or 5-1/2 inches center-to-center, and the backset is adjustable to 2-3/8 or 2-3/4 inches making this an ideal choice for any project whether it is new construction or retrofit.
The new locks are available in three functions—Passage, Entry and Privacy with Deadbolt Indicator—and are available in 12 lever designs and five finishes. They are available immediately.
A line of Yale Residential Electronic Interconnected Locksets for multifamily applications will be available in the first quarter of 2016.
