Wood Partners has expanded its presence in the Orlando area, opening a 348-unit community in Winter Garden, Fla. The developer is nearing completion on Alta at Horizon West, which it began constructing in July 2021.

The firm tapped Forum Architecture & Interior and Beasley & Henley Interior Design to be part of the project team. Once completed, the developer’s in-house management division, Wood Residential, will run the property.

The garden-style community will offer one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans ranging from 729 to 1,324 square feet. The units were built with quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances and electronic door locks, white the community’s amenities include a fitness center, yoga room, coworking space, coffee bar, social lounge and game room. The property also has a pool, hammock garden and movie lawn, as well as a pet park, children’s playground and grilling stations.

Located at 15000 Stratus Loop, Alta at Horizon West is located next to the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge and is 10 minutes away from Walt Disney World.

The community is part of the redevelopment of the Horizon West area, which is segmented into six villages, each of which have their own centralized commercial spaces.

Another Orland project in the works

Wood Partners has developed 16 communities in Orlando, including the 328-unit Alta Headwaters. The developer started construction on Alta Headwaters in August 2019, completing the community a year later. Wood Partners is also planning to close on another property in Orlando in June.

Outside of Florida, Wood Partners has been active across several U.S. metros recently, including the Dallas-Fort Worth, Phoenix, and Baltimore metros. The developer recently broke ground on the second phase of its multifamily project in Baltimore, which is expected to open in 2024.
