Wood Partners Expands Colorado Footprint
Expected to open early next year, the 186-unit community features a design inspired by the nearby Rocky Mountains.
Wood Partners has broken ground on the Alta Addison, a 186-unit community in Aurora, Colo. Preleasing is expected to begin at the end of this year with the property opening in early 2024.
One-, two- and three-bedroom homes will be in the Alta Addison. Each unit will feature flex space for an office and a washer and dryer. Community amenities are set to include a pool, spa, fitness center, clubhouse, pet spa, game area and micro offices.
Previously an abandoned site, 3 acres of the project’s surrounding areas are wetlands that will feature trails and seating. The space will house natural education programs and be landscaped with native plants.
Situated at 7399 South Addison Court, the community is close to employers located in the Denver Tech Center, Buckley Airforce Base and Fitzsimons Medical Campus. The Denver International Airport, Arapahoe County Fairgrounds and Park Meadows and Southlands Mall are all easily accessible, as the property is adjacent to E-470.
A new connection off Addison Court, created by Wood Partners, connects residents to trails and other outdoor amenities.
Hord Coplan Macht, lead architect for the asset, designed its exterior to complement the nearby Rocky Mountains. Residents at the Alta Addison will have access to the Red-Tailed Hawk Park with hundreds of miles of trails. Other outdoor spaces in proximity include the Aurora and Cherry Creek Reservoirs, Bally’s Arapahoe Park Horse Track and gold courses.
Wood Partners in Colorado
While Alta Addison is the first project Wood Partners has in the City of Aurora, it is not the company’s first in Colorado. Recently, the firm broke ground in the state’s capital some 10 miles away.
Alta Mile High, a 216-unit community in Denver, is expected to officially open in early 2025. The project is situated just south of the Empower Field at Mile High, the stadium that is home to the Denver Broncos.
