Waypoint Residential Adds 3 VPs

Daniel Price, Karen Kasteel and Andreea Paraschivoiu are taking senior roles at the investment firm.

Stamford, Conn.—Waypoint Residential recently announced its expansion with three senior hires. Daniel Price is now vice president of acquisitions, Karen Kasteel serves as vice president of marketing and Andreea Paraschivoiu was appointed vice president of operations. Price will work out of Waypoint’s Chicago office and will be responsible for sourcing acquisition opportunities throughout the Midwest markets. He will be working with Ed Ryder, senior managing director, who leads Waypoint’s acquisitions activities. Paraschivoiu and Kasteel will work closely with Peter DiCorpo, Waypoint’s COO, and will be based out of the company’s Stamford, Conn., office.

Price has more than seven years of real estate experience and joined Waypoint Residential from Chicago-based investment and property management company Waterton. During his tenure at Waterton, he held various acquisition and asset management roles. Price graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business with a double major in real estate and finance.

With more than 13 years of experience in the real estate market, Kasteel joined Waypoint Residential from investment firm K3 Capital Advisors. Previously, she served as managing director of Kennedy Wilson’s Capital Markets Group, where she was responsible for raising capital from institutional investors, investor relations and managing the investment activities of a private real estate fund focused primarily on multifamily investments. Kasteel has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oklahoma City University.

Andreea Paraschivoiu

Paraschivoiu joined Waypoint from Voltari Corp., a publicly traded real estate company, where she served as CFO. Bringing more than 13 years of real estate experience, she previously worked for RealFoundations, where she provided management consulting services to real estate investment managers, including pension funds and REITs. Earlier in her career, Paraschivoiu served as director of finance for AIG Global Real Estate Investment Corp. and as an auditor at both Deloitte & Touché LLP and Arthur Andersen LLP. Waypoint’s new vice president of operations is a certified public accountant and CFA charter holder. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and accounting from New York University’s Stern School of Business, and a Master of Science degree in real estate development from Columbia University.
