Walker & Dunlop Welcomes New SVP
Chris Harris will be responsible for nationwide structured finance and equity placement. He joins the company from Criterion Development Partners, where he served as principal & CFO.
Walker & Dunlop appointed Chris Harris as senior vice president in its Capital Markets group. In his new role, Harris will be responsible for nationwide structured finance and equity placement.
Most recently, Harris served as principal & CFO at Criterion Development Partners, where he was in charge of finance, accounting, planning, investor relations and risk management. Prior to this, he was vice president, CFO & partner at FirstWorthing. During his career, he also held various positions at JPI Partners, Security Capital Group, Trammell Crow Residential and was responsible for more than $14 billion in equity and debt financings for multifamily, student housing and affordable properties throughout the country.
Harris is a graduate of the Edwin L. Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. Additionally, he serves on the advisory board of The Margaret and Robert Institute for Real Estate at SMU. Harris is also a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council.
Earlier this year, Walker & Dunlop also hired Telly Fathaly as managing director in its Investment Sales group.
