Walker & Dunlop Inc. announced that Matt Naish has joined its multifamily finance group as senior vice president. Based out of the company’s San Francisco office, Naish will oversee multifamily loan origination.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Naish served as director of affordable housing finance at Berkeley Point Capital. He previously held multiple roles with HUD, where he developed an expertise in affordable housing policy and FHA multifamily products. In his most recent position at HUD as senior advisor to the deputy assistant for multifamily housing programs, Naish was involved in national policy and reorganization efforts.

Walker & Dunlop’s position as a top-five lender with Fannie Mae (#2 in 2016), Freddie Mac (#3 in 2016), and HUD (#4 in 2016) allows us to attract talented originators like Matt who will help us continue to grow our multifamily presence across the country,” Executive Vice President Don King said in prepared remarks.

Naish holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley and a master’s degree in International Relations and Affairs from the Golden Gate University.
