UDR Names New CFO

Denver—Multifamily real estate investment trust UDR Inc. recently announced the appointment of Joseph Fisher as chief financial officer. Fisher will succeed Tom Herzog, effective January 2017.

“Joe is a talented executive with a deep understanding of the public REIT space and will be a strong addition to our team as chief financial officer,” Tom Toomey, president & CEO of UDR, said in a statement. “Joe is well versed in the workings of the apartment industry and brings an analytical and strategic skill set that will benefit the UDR team greatly in the years ahead.”

Fisher has extended background in public and private real estate with his experience as a member of the Deutsche Asset Management real estate securities team since 2007, most recently serving as co-head of the Americas and co-lead portfolio manager.

Fisher has the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and holds an MBA degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Iowa.
