Toby Bozzuto Named ‘Developer of the Year’ by Maryland Building Industry Association
The Maryland Building Industry Association (MBIA) has named Toby Bozzuto, president of The Bozzuto Group, as its Developer of the Year.
Greenbelt, Md.—The Maryland Building Industry Association (MBIA) has named Toby Bozzuto, president of The Bozzuto Group, as its Developer of the Year. The award was given at the organization’s Land Development Council Awards of Excellence ceremony on September 18, 2014.
In late August, the Home Builders Association of Maryland and the Maryland-National Capital Building Industry Association merged to form the Maryland Building Industry Association. MBIA is a non-profit organization representing homebuilders, remodelers, developers, and affiliate professionals in North East Maryland.
The MBIA Land Development Council recognizes professionals who create superior developments that are sensitive to the community and make appropriate use of the existing natural elements. Award recipients have demonstrated excellence in land development design and quality, and have contributed greatly to the land development industry.
Toby Bozzuto joined the Bozzuto Group in 2001, and became a partner in 2007. Bozzuto is president of the company, and oversees all of the day-to-day operations of the company and its 1,800 employees. Prior to winning the award, Bozzuto was named one of Maryland Daily Record‘s 2014 “Most Influential Marylanders,” Commercial Property Executive’s 2013 “Rising Leader” and gained a spot on Maryland Daily Record‘s “Successful by 40” and Baltimore Business Journal’s “40 under 40” lists.
