Austin—Burlington Ventures, an Austin-based developer, announced that it is taking reservations for the 27 exclusive rental residences at The Richardson at Tarrytown. Move-in at the property, located at 3215 Exposition Blvd., is anticipated for the summer of 2017.
“The Richardson offers sophisticated living in a beautiful, natural setting in the heart of Tarrytown, free of the hassles of home ownership,” Burlington Ventures President Steve Beuerlein said in a prepared statement. “There are only 27 rental homes available, all featuring single-level floor plans that are fully accessible by elevator from the parking garage. This unique living solution is ideal for mature residents who want to downsize and simplify their lives.”
Residents at The Richardson can choose from nine one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans ranging from 1,209 to 2,957 square feet. The apartments feature open floor plan designs with floor-to-ceiling windows, private balconies, solar shades, hardwood flooring throughout and custom tile flooring in bathrooms. Most units feature large custom kitchens with quartz countertops, counter-depth refrigerators, built-in gas ranges, wall ovens and microwaves, under-counter wine refrigerators and full-size washer and dryers.
Common area amenities include a deck with an outdoor kitchen and gas grill, seasonally heated pool, outdoor fireplace, dog park, club room, fitness center, and climate-controlled, limited-access parking garage, electric vehicle charging station, mudroom with integrated dog-wash station, and several storage options, including climate-controlled wine cellars and secure bike storage. The Richardson was built with cast-in-place concrete and has installed high-density wall insulation that results in zero noise transfer between the homes. Energy-efficient, multi-zone HVAC systems enable residents to vary temperature by zone, while low-energy LED lighting boosts energy savings. Moreover, a Luxer One secured parcel locker system enables access to postal deliveries 24/7.
The design proposed by Dick Clark + Associates offers stairless living in a boutique environment, in close proximity to Tarrytown’s shops, MoPac, downtown, the University of Texas, Lions Municipal Golf Course, Lady Bird Lake, Lake Austin and Seton Medical Center Austin. “Steve understood that creating an alluring alternative to Tarrytown home ownership would require a design that met the sophisticated aesthetic demands and expectations of superior quality of the Tarrytown community,” added Mark Vornberg, senior associate & project lead at Dick Clark + Associates. “His vision for the project informed our design, resulting in a site-specific plan that incorporates all the lifestyle elements found in our custom home designs.” Burlington Ventures developed and will manage the property. Big Red Dog Engineering, HOAR Construction, Coleman & Associates Landscape Architecture and Yellow Door Design were also part of the development team.
