The Related Group Appoints Jon Paul Perez as President
In his new position, Jon Paul Perez will continue to work on neighborhood development within the company his father started four decades ago.

Jon Paul Perez has been named president of The Related Group, the company announced. Perez was formerly an executive vice president at the Miami-based development firm, which he joined in 2012.
Perez will continue to collaborate with players in the affordable, market-rate, international and luxury divisions in developing properties, while also maintaining his role pushing innovative efforts at the firm.
Throughout his years at the organization that his father, Jorge Perez, established more than 40 years ago, Jon Paul has played a significant role in the development of several mixed-use projects in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood. He also led the development of Residences by Armani/Casa, a 56-story, 308-unit luxury tower in Miami’s Sunny Isles Beach.
Perez is currently involved in numerous projects, such as Solemar in Pompano Beach, Fla., a Ritz Carlton on Tampa’s waterfront and Boulevard at West River, and a 120-acre redevelopment also in Tampa, which broke ground in March.
Other initiatives
His involvement in the company’s innovation efforts included signing on for The International WELL Building Institute’s WELL Health-Safety rating, working with Livly to build a digital rental experience and promoting a Related Living smartphone app for the firm’s condo and rental portfolio.
Outside of Related, Perez serves on the Wynwood BID, where he is involved in the Marketing and Economic Development Committee. He is also an Advisory Board Member of Urban Land Institute’s Southeast Florida/Caribbean branch and is an active Board Member of Big Brothers Big Sisters and the United Way Young Leaders.
