Stewards of Affordable Housing for the Future Names New Senior Vice President
Stewards of Affordable Housing for the Future announced the promotion of Rebecca Schaaf to senior vice president and will be leading SAHF’s energy and water conservation work.
Washington, D.C.—Stewards of Affordable Housing for the Future (SAHF), a network of high capacity not-for-profit organizations dedicated to sustainable ownership and continued affordability, announced the promotion of Rebecca Schaaf to senior vice president and will be leading SAHF’s energy and water conservation work. Since 2011, Schaaf has served as vice president of the SAHF Energy division for two years and has worked with members to bring innovative models and tools to the affordable housing industry.
In Schaaf’s new role as senior vice president will continue working with SAHF members and other in the field to overcome barriers in energy and water conservation in multifamily affordable housing. In addition, Schaaf will be developing innovative methods focused on portfolio-level approaches in order to reduce the impact of on the environment and the impact of costs of energy and water on housing affordability.
Previous to SAHF, Schaaf worked on international development and energy conservation programs with positions at CHF International (now Global Communities) and the Joint Global Change Research Institute at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
