Standard Communities Names Mid-Atlantic Managing Director
Matt Sislen joins the company from Audubon Enterprises, an affordable housing advisory firm he co-founded in 2012.

Standard Communities, the affordable housing arm of Standard Cos., has appointed Matt Sislen as managing director of East Coast production. He will be based in Washington, D.C., and will primarily be responsible for growing Standard’s portfolio in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Sislen joined Standard from Audubon Enterprises, an affordable housing advisory firm which he co-founded in 2012. He also previously served as vice president & CFO of Dantes Partners, manager of acquisitions and finance at East of the River Community Development Corp. and associate at The Reznick Group.
The newly appointed managing director holds a bachelor’s degree in management from Tulane University and an MBA from Arizona State University’s Thunderbird School of Global Management. Sislen serves on the leadership council of Miriam’s Kitchen, a non-profit organization focused on tackling homelessness in Washington, D.C.
Standard owns more than 1,700 affordable units in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. The company’s portfolio also includes affordable housing in California: In May, the firm secured a $20.8 million FHA loan to refinance a 161-unit San Diego community.
