Rose Associates Appoints a New CEO and COO

New York–Rose Associates, a real estate development and management firm, has announced two promotions.

William H. Sandholm, whose career at Rose spans more than 40 years and includes assignments in construction, finance, operations and development, has been promoted to chief executive officer. It is the first time in the 83-year history of the company that a non-family member has filled the top position.

At the same time, Rose promoted J. Brian Peters to the position of chief operating officer. Having joined the firm in 1995, Brian grew to most recently serve as head of management of the 37,000 units currently being handled by Rose.

William Sandholm is a graduate of the Cooper Union with a degree in Engineering. He also holds an MBA from Pace University. Brian Peters is a graduate of John Hopkins University and also holds a Masters from Harvard.
