ChicagoRMK Management Corp. has been chosen to manage and handle leasing efforts for 1620 Central in Evanston, Ill., a 47-unit, LEED-proposed luxury community currently under construction.

Developed by TJM Development, the four-story property is slated to begin on-site pre-leasing this fall. Financing for the project was secured through Real Capital Solutions and First National Bank.

“The Central Street corridor is a neighborhood we know well, so this property is a great fit for RMK,” said Anthony Rossi Sr., CEO of RMK Management, in prepared remarks. “We also know, through our successful experience leasing and managing the nearby Central Station community that is 98-percent leased, there are very few new-construction luxury rental options in north Evanston, so we expect demand to be quite high,” he added.

Situated 20 miles north of downtown Chicago, 1620 Central will offer one-, two- and three-bedroom units ranging between 601 and 1,297 square feet. The community will feature a 54-spot underground parking garage, bike storage room and green roof. High-end unit finishes will include nine-foot ceilings, quartz countertops and luxury plank flooring.
