RMK Management Takes on 2 Chicago-Area Communities

The properties are located in the Windy City's South Loop neighborhood and the southwest suburb of Clarendon Hills, Ill.

RMK Management Corp. has been tapped to oversee property management for two luxury rental communities in Chicago and the growing suburb of Clarendon Hills, Ill. The Midwestern apartment management firm will take charge of 1000 S. Clark, a 28-story tower with 469 units in the Windy City’s South Loop neighborhood.

Separately, RMK will manage 229 Park, a boutique rental building in downtown Clarendon Hills that features 42 residences as well as seven unique floorplans combining street-level storefronts with upstairs living space.

Completed in 2016 by JDL Development, 1000 S. Clark features one-, two- and three-bedroom units as well as half a dozen three-bedroom rental townhomes equipped with two-car garages. All the rental units have luxury finishes including high ceilings and panoramic views of the lake and city, with select units featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies.

The community’s 43,000 square feet of amenity space runs the gamut from a rooftop sundeck with all-weather pool deck to an enclosed indoor pool, fitness center and landscaped outdoor dog park as well as variety of coworking and recreational spaces.

RMK’s new appointment in the village of Clarendon Hills involves a luxury building at 229 Park Ave., a few minutes walk from the Clarendon Hills Metra station, which provides service to Chicago. The property’s one- and two-bedroom apartments charge rents ranging from $1,750 to $3,350 and offer gourmet kitchens and other high-end touches.

The building also has seven units branded Live|Work, that are designed for work-from-home professionals with a combination of retail and living space, including a one-bedroom residence on the upper floor. Amenities include a fitness center with Peloton bicycles and yoga space, remote entry and virtual key technology and private heated indoor parking.
