RKW Residential has appointed Lizzette Herron as senior regional manager in the newly opened Orlando, Fla., office. In this new role, she will help oversee the company’s growing South Florida portfolio and will work closely with Stephanie Brown, senior vice president of client services.

Herron has more than 20 years of multifamily property management experience. Until recently, she had been a district manager with Camden Property Trust where she handled repositions, stabilized as well as lease-up communities in the Tampa and Orlando markets.

“It’s no secret that the Orlando area is experiencing a boom in real estate development and corporate expansions and relocations. The demand for our services is growing in lockstep with the population growth,” said Stephanie Brown, senior vice president of client services at RKW, in prepared remarks.

As part of RKW’s expansion strategy, the company intends to capitalize on Orlando’s population and job growth trends from 2018, which are forecasted to continue in 2019. At the same time, Orlando has more than $10 billion in infrastructure projects in the pipeline, including improvements to Interstate 4 and the expansion of Orlando International Airport, which will aid the two main economic drivers—tourism and hospitality.

According to Yardi Matrix, the metro is one of the fastest-growing multifamily markets in the U.S., ranking sixth out of 127 markets tracked by the data provider.
