RED Capital Group Expands in LA-Area
RED Mortgage Capital, a division of ORIX Real Estate Capital, opened a new Los Angeles office, three months after expanding into San Francisco.

RED Mortgage Capital has opened a new office in Los Angeles and selected Jim McArthur to lead it. McArthur will serve as director of multifamily operations. The office marks the fourth West Coast location for the company, which has branches in San Diego, Newport Beach and San Francisco.
Before joining RED, McArthur was a senior vice president at JLL. Prior to JLL, he spent the majority of his career at Freddie Mac in the Chicago and Los Angeles offices, where he held positions as associate director in both the underwriting and loan production departments. McArthur earned his MBA from Northwestern University and his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa.
“As RED continues to strategically expand its national footprint, we are thrilled to have an experienced industry professional like Jim leading our origination efforts out of the Los Angeles office,” said Trent Brooks, president of RED Mortgage Capital, in prepared remarks. “Jim’s vast multifamily experience in the western US will further enhance the high level of expertise RED delivers every day for our customers.”
Last October, RED Capital Group hired Patrick McAllister to serve as director of multifamily originations in the firm’s newly opened San Francisco office.
