Red Capital Group Announces Promotions of James F. Croft and Robert T. Kirkwood

Columbus, Ohio—Red Capital Group LLC announced that James F. Croft, Chairman of broker-dealer entity Red Capital Markets LLC has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer for that organization, and that Robert T. Kirkwood who had been serving as Red’s Interim CFO has been named Chief Financial Officer.

Croft is an industry veteran with more than 20 years of investment and commercial mortgage banking experience. He joined Red’s predecessor entity in 1991 and is a national expert in the financing of multifamily housing and health care projects, having senior managed over $3.0 billion of fixed and variable rate transactions. He has served on Boards for the National Leased Housing Association and the Ohio Housing Council, including a term as president.

More recently at RED, Croft has been responsible for growing the firm’s Mortgage Banking Services business, which offers to other mortgage banking/lending organizations loan funding, loan servicing and Ginnie Mae® and Fannie Mae® MBS distribution services, the latter through its registered broker-dealer Sales & Trading operations. Croft will continue to lead the Mortgage Banking Services business while also expanding his effort to growing the firm’s broker-dealer operations.

Kirkwood formally assumes the role of Chief Financial Officer. He joined Red in November 2004 where he served as Director of Accounting & Finance, responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting group. He now is responsible for all financial and fiscal aspects for Red and its subsidiaries. He will lead and coordinate the administrative, business and strategic planning, treasury, accounting, budgeting and financial reporting efforts of the company. Kirkwood is a registered Financial and Operations Principal Series 27.
