Portland-Area Community Nears Completion

Sunrise Management has been tapped to lease and manage the newly built property in Gresham, Ore.

McKenzie River Co. and Gibbins Kaplan Development LLC are nearing completion of the 82-unit 12 Mile Crossing multifamily development near Portland, Ore., and have selected Sunrise Management to handle the lease-up and day-to-day management activities. 

The three-story multifamily community consists of four buildings on 3.4 acres and is located at 588 Southeast 217th Ave., in Gresham, Ore., 12 miles east of Portland. The property will have one-, two- and three bedroom units ranging from 600 to 1,155 square feet with rents from $1,375 to $2,025.

The units will have open-concept floorplans and feature large closets, expansive windows, luxury wood-inspired flooring, modern kitchens with stainless steel appliances and LED lighting. Community amenities will include an open space/playground area, dog washing station, package receiving/parcel lockers, grilling area, EV charging stations and covered parking. The property will be pet friendly and have ample open space.

12 Mile Crossing is located near North Gresham Elementary School and major employers. The property is also situated near major freeways, including I-84 and I-205.

The construction team included Team Construction and MWA Architects.

Joe Greenblatt, president & CEO of Sunrise Management, said in a prepared statement 12 Mile Crossing will provide much-needed workforce housing for the region. He said both Gresham and East Multnomah counties are experiencing strong demand for new apartments at 12 Mile Crossing’s price points.

Sunrise Management, a privately-owned firm specializing in residential properties management, added a regional office in Portland last year. The company, which has a portfolio of more than 13,000 units throughout the Southwest, also has regional offices in Phoenix, Las Vegas and Sacramento, Calif.
