Poll Results: Celebrating the Holidays
With Thanksgiving almost here, MHN readers report on what they’ll be doing at their communities this season.
Multi-Housing News’ most recent monthly poll asked readers about how they may be celebrating the holidays. With Thanksgiving, Christmas and Hanukkah coming up, some multifamily owners and operators may host social events, seasonal decorations or charity drives.

A total of 32 percent of respondents participated in some of the above events, with 12 percent electing to host functions such as Halloween costume contests, potlucks, mixers or community-wide contests. Rounding out the other 12 percent were decorating common areas or hosting charity drives, with the former making for a more festive residential experience, while the latter gives to those in need. Other event ideas included decorating. However, a majority of respondents, 68 percent, said they are not doing anything special for the holidays.
