Pillar Announces Top Hires to its Originations Department

Pillar, a Guggenheim Partner affiliate and provider of financing solutions for affordable multifamily properties, has added four new executive hires to the team.

New York—Pillar, a Guggenheim Partner affiliate and provider of financing solutions for affordable multifamily properties, has added four new executive hires to the team. These hires include Edward Hussey, CCIM, head of Pillar’s multifamily production in the Vienna, V Office; Jonathan White, managing director of Pillar’s CMBS origination team; Don Husi, director of senior housing & healthcare originations in Brentwood, Tenn.; and Robert Taylor, vice president of originations in Pillar’s Salt Lake City, Utah.

Hussey joins Pillar with more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience and more than 20 years focused on multifamily finance. In his role he will be responsible for Pillar’s multifamily production across the company’s product lines.

White will be taking the lead in Pillar’s CMBS in New York. With 25 years of commercial real estate experience, White will be bringing in 13 years in commercial and multifamily securitization. Before Pillar, White served as managing director for TreppPort and chief operating officer and managing direct of securitization at Mezz Cap.

In Tenn., Husi will be specializing in senior housing and healthcare debt transactions focusing on Fannie, Freddie Mac and HUD financing. Previously, Husi built his experience through restructuring and recapitalizing senior housing and healthcare client business to help improve client balance sheets and position their firms growth through acquisition and development.

Taylor joins Pillar to assist on the origination of FHA Insured Multifamily and Healthcare loans. Bringing more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate, which includes brokerage, development and finance and he also served as managing director for Emerge Multifamily Capital.
