Opus Names Paul Robertson as Director of Development

The Opus Group has hired Paul Robertson as the new director of real estate development, a position from which he will oversee multifamily and senior living development opportunities across Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan. The industry veteran will be based in the company’s Chicago office, where Opus recently delivered a mixed-use project at 100 N. Addison.

Robertson brings more than 27 years of real estate experience to the new job, having previously worked for Greco | DeRosa Investment Group as project consultant and for JCF Real Estate Inc. as executive vice president. In his new role with Opus, Robertson will be responsible for site selection and acquisition, due diligence, obtaining government approvals and entitlements, coordinating design and construction as well as overseeing the marketing and leasing of each project.

Robertson is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has a master of science degree in real estate appraisal and investment analysis from the same university. He is also a member of NAIOP and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
