New Boston Fund Names New VP of Acquisitions in the Southeast
New Boston Fund Inc., a private equity real estate investment, development and management firm, announced the promotion of David Schneider to vice president of acquisitions for the Southeast region.
Delray Beach, Fla.—New Boston Fund Inc., a private equity real estate investment, development and management firm, announced the promotion of David Schneider to vice president of acquisitions for the Southeast region.
Schneider will be responsible for new business development and leading acquisitions efforts for the firm’s portfolio in Florida and North Carolina. He will be working with his team to build New Boston’s presence in these Southeastern states through strengthening relationships with the local real estate community. Schneider’s first significant project in his new role was leading the underwriting and due diligence process to close on the purchase of Waterford Centre, a 91,000-square-foot Class-A office building located in Miami.
New Boston hired Schneider in 2010 as a senior associate where he supported the acquisitions team by performing detailed analytics as well as supporting the asset management division of the Southeast office. Prior to joining New Boston, Schneider was a Senior Analyst for LNR Property in Miami working in loan asset management. He also previously worked in the acquisitions group for Sterling American Property, a New York-based real estate fund.
Outside of work, Schneider is involved with the local real estate community through various trade organizations, such as NAIOP and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). A member of ULI for more than five years, he has served on the Palm Beach Young Leaders Committee for the last two years. In addition, Schneider sits on the NAIOP Developing Leaders Steering Committee of South Florida.
Schneider holds a Masters in Business Administration from Columbia Business School, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania.
