NeighborhoodWorks America just announced the promotion of Paul Weech as new president and CEO effective January 22.
Washington, D.C.—NeighborhoodWorks America just announced the promotion of Paul Weech as new president and CEO effective January 22. This promotion will enable Chuck Wehrwein to resume his role as chief operating officer. During Weech’s time with NeighborhoodWorks, he served as executive vice president for policy and external affairs and worked with both nonprofit housing and community development organizations to move in a new direction by developing new policies and practices.
Before his time with NeighborhoodWorks, Weech held many positions serving as chief of staff at the U.S. Small Business Administration, staff director for the Housing Subcommittee of the Senate Committee on banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, and lastly a senior analyst for housing and credit for the Senate Budget Committee.
He also worked in a number of mission-related roles in Fannie Mae’s National Community Lending Center, in the Office of Corporate Strategy, and lastly he served as a senior policy role for the Stewards of Affordable Housing for the Future.
