MVE & Partners Expands Leadership Team

MVE & Partners, an architecture planning and design firm, announces the hiring of a new principal, Marios Savopoulos, AIA.

Savopoulos will lead the development of MVE’s mixed-use placemaking studio, joining more than 100 professionals in the firm’s Irvine headquarters. He joins a team of principals, including Richard Castillo, AIA, NCARB, Jeff Larsen, AIA, Ken Nilmeier and Darin Schoolmeester, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP.

Savopoulos is an active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI), serving on ULI’s Mixed-Use Council, and contributing to conferences and panels on placemaking, mixed-use and urban planning. He has been recognized with some of the industry’s highest honors, including multiple ICSC Design and Development Awards, Gold Nugget Grand Awards and SADIs for projects including Pacific Theatres at The Americana at Brand in Glendale, Calif., Bridgeport Village in Tualatin, Oregon and Island Cinema at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, Calif.

Prior to joining MVE & Partners, Savopoulos served as senior principal at Perkowitz + Ruth Architects, where he founded the P + R Placemaking Studio. He earned his bachelor of architecture degree with honors from the University of Texas at Austin.
