Michael Scurti Joins The Simon Companies as Chief Financial Officer

Braintree, Mass.—The Simon Companies, a professional developer, owner and manager of commercial and multifamily real estate, has hired Michael Scurti as the company’s new chief financial officer.

In his new position, Scurti will have primary responsibility for all aspects of finance, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, tax, regulatory reporting and treasury functions at The Simon Companies with respect to its portfolio and client services. Among his key priorities will be the enhancement of productivity and continued reduction of operating costs throughout the entire company.

Prior to joining The Simon Companies, Scurti served in a similar role at Boston-based Trinity Financial, a developer of multifamily and commercial urban properties. During his more than 25-year career in real estate accounting and finance, Scurti also has served in various financial management roles at Vareilk Construction in West Bridgewater, Mass.; at Corcoran Jennison in Boston; and at AEW Capital Management in Boston.

Scurti is a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston where he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Scurti is the most recent addition to a rapidly growing senior management team of talented professionals at The Simon Companies.
