MBK Rental Living, in joint venture with Haseko Corp., has completed Zia Apartments, a 315-unit luxury community in Anaheim, Calif. The development benefited from an $82.9 million construction loan originated by JP Morgan Chase in 2022, according to Yardi Matrix. Greystar is the property manager.

Located at 1600 W. Lincoln Ave., Zia Apartments is a five-story, wrap-style community. Disneyland and Anaheim’s Packing District are less than 2 miles from the 5.2-acre Zia Apartments. A Walmart Supercenter and Interstate 5 are within 1 mile of the property. Other major employers in the area include John Wayne Airport, the UCI Medical Center, California State University in Fullerton and the University of California at Irvine.

Unit types vary from studios to one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, with floorplans ranging between 600 and 1,900 square feet. The property’s amenities include a two-story fitness center with spaces dedicated to yoga and Jiu-Jitsu, outdoor pool area with bar, cabanas and barbeque grills, spa, Zen courtyards, game lounge, coworking office space, basketball court, children’s playroom and a dog spa and park. Also, Zia features a covered, multilevel parking structure with 639 spots.

Designed by AO, together with Sitescapes’ landscapes and interior designs by Design-Art, the project broke ground in March of 2023. At the time, President of MBK Living Ken McCarren anticipated that Zia Apartments would attract residents in Orange County due to the high demand of luxury communities.
