Lightstone Appoints Regional Vice President, West Coast Development
Scott Rynders will oversee a team responsible for all aspects of entitlement, development and design for Lightstone’s hospitality and residential developments on the West Coast.
New York—National real estate investor and developer Lightstone announced the appointment of Scott Rynders as regional vice president, West Coast development. Rynders will oversee Lightstone’s new Los Angeles office and a team responsible for all aspects of entitlement, development and design for Lightstone’s hospitality and residential developments on the West Coast.
Rynders joins Lightstone after three-and-a-half years as vice president of development in California for Lennar, a national homebuilding company. He was responsible for the day-to-day project management of several ground-up apartment and mixed-use development projects, totaling more than 1,000 apartment homes, 25,000 square feet of retail and $370 million in development costs.
Prior to Lennar, Rynders was a vice president at Gatehouse Capital. As the owner’s representative for the construction of the W Hollywood & Residences project, he managed all aspects of the development and opening of the hotel, restaurant, spa and nightclub.
Rynders earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California, Irvine. He currently serves as the Director of Friends of the Hollywood Central Park, a non-profit working to create a 38-acre park over the Hollywood Freeway.
