Richardson, Texas—JPI has begun leasing on Jefferson Center, a 360-unit luxury multifamily community in the Richardson submarket north of Dallas, Texas.

“Through extensive market research, JPI identifies development opportunities in desirable locations and then designs a specific product type that best fits each submarket,” Matt Brendel, JPI’s vice president and development partner, tells MHN. “Jefferson Center aligns with our goal to continually add creative design features, technology and amenities to our developments in order to achieve and maintain true differentiation.”

The apartment homes offer one-, two- or three-bedroom floor plans ranging from 650 to more than 1,500 square feet. Homes feature granite counter-tops, stylized hardwood flooring throughout the living areas, kitchens and baths, stainless steel appliances, garages, electronic key entries, private yards and full-size washers and dryers.

Community amenities include a resort-style pool, grilling and cabana areas, a coffee bar, two clubrooms, beach volleyball courts, an event lawn with outdoor movie theater, a dog park, playgrounds and two state-of-the-art fitness centers (one dedicated to yoga, CrossFit and Fitness on Demand).

Jefferson Center is developed on a 30-acre site near the University of Texas at Dallas.

“The community is located at an ideal location near the intersection of Bush Turnpike and Central Expressway providing convenient access to major employment centers in or near Dallas via President George Bush Turnpike, Central Expressway, Dallas Parkway and DART Red Line,” Brendel says. “In addition, a wide assortment of retail, dining and entertainment venues are located within minutes of the property.”

According to MPF, the Richardson multifamily market is 97 percent occupied—two percentage points higher than the Dallas metro as a whole.

“Large office developments are under construction including a $1.5 billion CityLine project, which will deliver about six million square feet of office space and another project at the southeast corner of Bush Turnpike and Central Expressway that includes an additional 1.35 million square feet of office space,” Brendel says. “These office developments will bring thousands of new jobs to the area increasing the demand for quality housing options.”
