Construction is scheduled to get under way next week on City Place Memorial Park, a 264-unit community in Houston. Farb Homes, the project’s developer, has selected Jordan Foster Residential as the project’s general contractor.
The market-rate community will be located inside Loop 610 at 264 Birdsall St., near the central downtown business district, following demolition of the existing apartment community and townhomes on two adjacent city blocks.
The project was secured through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Grants Management Process with a lump-sum side agreement contract. Work is slated to begin in August and take roughly 24 months. A special-purpose entity, 57 off Memorial Ventures LLC, will serve as operator.
Elevated swimming pools
City Place Memorial Park will consist of two four-story, wood-frame structures atop a two-level, cast-in-place concrete garage. The first building will house the leasing area on the ground floor, while the podium decks of both buildings will feature elevated swimming pools.
The Jordan Foster Residential team consists of Regional Director Corey Brunsvold, Director of Operations Terry Peek, Senior Project Manager Jason Carter and Superintendent Lonnie Houston. The development’s architect is WGW Architects.
