Johnson Capital Expands as Colin Barnard Joins as VP in new Walnut Creek, Calif. Office

Johnson Capital, a national real estate capital advisory firm, announces that Colin Barnard has joined the firm as vice president in the company’s recently opened Walnut Creek office.

Walnut Creek, Calif.—Johnson Capital, a national real estate capital advisory firm, announces that Colin Barnard has joined the firm as vice president in the company’s recently opened Walnut Creek office. In his new position, Colin will focus on arranging debt financing for income producing properties nationwide.

Prior to joining Johnson Capital, Colin was president of Barnard Capital, Inc., a Bay Area-based commercial mortgage banker, which he co-founded in 2003. Before that, he was vice president of Sutter Commercial Capital, where he began his real estate finance career in 1995. Colin has arranged more than $600 million in bridge, permanent, and construction loans in Northern California and across the country.

Colin has been involved in the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), the Bay Area Mortgage Association (BAMA) and the Commercial Mortgage Bankers Association (CMBA). Colin is also a Rotarian, having been president of his local club as well as assistant district governor.
