HFF Chicago Appoints New Director
David Gaines, former managing director at Berkadia Real Estate Advisors, brings more than 16 years of experience in multi-housing investment sales, debt placement and equity placement.
HFF announced that David Gaines joined its Chicago team as a director focused on multi-housing investment sales. He will service HFF’s clients who are interested in middle market investment opportunities in the Chicago area and throughout the Midwest.
Prior to being named director with HFF, Gaines was managing director with Berkadia Real Estate Advisors, where he was responsible for multi-housing investment sales in central U.S. The biggest part of his 16-year experience in the multi-housing market was built with Marcus & Millichap, where Gaines was vice president, investments and senior director of the National Multi-Housing Group. He is also affiliated to the National Multi Housing Council and Urban Land Institute.
“David will partner with our existing multi-housing team, led by Sean Fogarty and Marty O’Connell, to strengthen HFF’s middle market multi-housing platform in Chicago and the Midwest, [where] we have seen increasing interest from our clients,” said Jeff Bramson, head of HFF’s Chicago office, in a prepared statement.
Gaines’ sales portfolio features more than 31,000 transactions, totaling more than $1.7 billion.
