Formerly known as University House Arena District, the community at 2050 E. 15th Ave. in Eugene, Ore., is eco-friendly, LEED Gold certified by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

“We are delighted to offer students a healthy-living option at Arena District that combines contemporary design with a variety of environmentally friendly features,” Greystar Student Living managing director Michelle Fuller told MHN. “Our goal is to exceed the expectations of students by providing services and amenities tailored specifically to fit their needs.”

The interiors offer sustainable Caesarstone countertops, custom cabinetry, under-cabinet lighting, under-mount sinks in kitchens and wood-style plank flooring. Among the green features incorporated into each apartment home are low-VOC paint, energy-efficient lighting, solar-generated hot water, natural ventilation-enabling operable windows and EnergyStar front-loading washers and dryers.

An Internet café with Mac computers, seating areas and a multimedia lounge with gaming stations and billiards tables are among the property’s common-area amenities. Outdoor areas accessible to residents include a courtyard with drought-tolerant landscaping and grilling stations.
