Bethesda, Md.–Beech Street Capital has appointed Michael Edelman as senior vice president of production management. Based in Beech Street’s New York office, Edelman will manage the lender’s correspondent relationship with Meridian Capital Group, Inc. and will oversee Beech Street’s northeast region production.
A privately held multifamily mortgage banking company, Beech Street is a Fannie Mae DUS® lender, a Freddie Mac Program Plus® Seller Servicer, and an FHA Multifamily Accelerated Processing (MAP) lender. Grace Huebscher, Beech Street CEO and president, says that Edelman’s insight into Freddie Mac will be particularly useful to the firm.
Edelman spent the past 15 years of his career at Freddie Mac, most recently as managing director for the Northeast Region. In that post, he oversaw a record expansion of Freddie Mac’s multifamily portfolio. Prior to joining the agency, he worked in the real estate lending divisions of the Greater New York Savings Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York, where he specialized in underwriting and customer management.
