Former Councilman Joins JLL as VP of Nashville Branch
Sean McGuire has joined JLL’s Southeast Multifamily Capital Markets Group as vice president of its Nashville branch.
Nashville—JLL recently announced the hire of a former Nashville councilman for the vice president position. Sean McGuire has joined JLL’s Southeast Multifamily Capital Markets Group as vice president of its Nashville office.
McGuire brings nearly ten years of industry experience to JLL, having spent the last eight years with Freeman Webb Cos., a Nashville-based full service commercial real estate firm with over $1.2 billion in assets under management. At Freeman Webb, McGuire specialized in the acquisition and financing of multifamily assets throughout the Southeast and Midwest.
McGuire is also a former Nashville city councilman, having served two terms on the Metro Council representing the Green Hills area from 2007-2015. During his time in office, McGuire was elected president pro tem of the Council and was the chairman of the Budget & Finance Committee.
“We are very excited to add Sean as a member of our team,” said Vincent Lefler, senior vice president in JLL’s Southeast Multi-Family Capital Markets Group, in prepared remarks. “Investor demand for multifamily assets in the Nashville market continues to rise, and with it the volume of transactions we are executing on behalf of our clients. Given our current deal pipeline and the number of multifamily units that will be delivered to the market over the next two or three years, the time is right to expand our multifamily team in Nashville.”
McGuire began his career in Washington, D.C. where he served on the staff of former U.S. Housing & Urban Development Secretary Mel Martinez before joining the staff of U.S. Congressman Jim Cooper of Nashville.
McGuire holds a BA from Wake Forest University and an MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management.
