Elizabeth Ann Stribling-Kivlan Named President of Stribling & Associates

Stribling & Associates has announced that Elizabeth Ann Stribling-Kivlan has been named president of the 32-year-old firm.

New York—Stribling & Associates has announced that Elizabeth Ann Stribling-Kivlan has been named president of the 32-year-old firm. Elizabeth Stribling, who founded the firm in 1980, will assume the role of chairman of her eponymous company. Kirk Henckels, head of Stribling’s luxury arm, Stribling Private Brokerage, is also taking the position of vice chairman of Stribling & Associates.

As president, Elizabeth Ann will supervise all of the day-to-day operations and business expansion and development of the firm; while Elizabeth will remain an active member of Stribling’s management team, overseeing company policy and corporate image, as well as continuing to be the president of Stribling Marketing Associates, the development company, which she also founded.

Elizabeth Ann, 33, has been instrumental in the growth of the firm in recent years, both as the Sales Director of Stribling’s downtown office and as the executive vice president of marketing and business development, a role she has held since 2006. This year, she spearheaded the expansion of Stribling to Brooklyn, where they will be opening their fourth New York City office in early 2013 at 384 Atlantic Avenue. Additionally, she took on the major rebranding of the firm and launch of its award-winning website, Stribling.com. Recognized by the industry for its improved functionality, accessibility on mobile devices, and social media interactions, Stribling.com has raised the bar for searching for real estate.

A fifth-generation New Yorker, Elizabeth Ann is a graduate of the Chapin School and the College of the Holy Cross, where she studied Comparative World Religions. An active member of her community, she serves on the national leadership council for GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network,) the leading national education organization focused on ensuring safe schools for all students.

Elizabeth Stribling, 68, began her distinguished real estate career in 1967. Recognized in the New York community as a leading expert in luxury residential sales and new development, Elizabeth Stribling is also highly regarded as a knowledgeable business and civic leader. She is on the Board of Governors of the Real Estate Board of New York, the Executive Board of the New York Landmarks Conservancy, and the Board of the Women’s Committee of the Central Park Conservancy. She was also recently awarded the prestigious title of Officier de la Légion d’Honneur (Officer of the Legion of Honor) for her work as the Chairman of the French Heritage Society.

Kirk Henckels, the newly appointed vice chairman of Stribling & Associates, is also the director of Stribling Private Brokerage, which focuses on listings above $5 million and also releases the only full-market analysis of the highest end of the luxury market. Henckels is the former president of Edward Lee Cave, Inc., where he was for many years the senior officer in charge of that company’s luxury real estate brokerage, and he holds an economics degree from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
