Earwood Joins EdR Construction Team to Support Growth

Memphis, Tenn.—EdR announced that Bob Earwood has joined the company as vice president of construction effective immediately.
Earwood’s 34 years of construction experience within the hotel and collegiate housing industries began at Holiday Inns Worldwide and continued at Davidson Hotel Co., Inc. He was a member of the design and construction team that developed the Hampton Inn, Crowne Plaza, Embassy Suite, Homewood Suite and Perkins Restaurant concepts. As senior project manager he was responsible for the oversight of new construction and renovations, and supervised the work of all architects, engineers, interior designers and purchasing professionals while also serving as key liaison to ownership and management teams.
In 1992, Earwood created Earwood Contractors. With more than $275 million of construction and renovation developments, his company has worked on a number of collegiate developments, namely the $4.7 million Cooper Alumni Center at Arkansas State University; the $1.1 million Flautt Golf Training Center at the University of Memphis; and the $2.1 million athletic office complex at the University of Memphis as well as multi-million dollar hotels, mixed-use facilities and other public buildings.
A licensed general contractor, Earwood is a member of the Construction Management Association of America and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
