Development Firm HTG Names New COO
Michael Sheitelman joined the firm from Miami-based Crescent Heights, where he served as general counsel.
Multifamily development firm Housing Trust Group has appointed Michael Sheitelman as COO. Reporting to CEO Matthew Rieger, Sheitelman will manage all HTG divisions, including acquisition, entitlement, development, construction, legal, development finance and property management, the latter of which expanded its team in January.
Sheitelman joined the company from Miami-based development firm Crescent Heights, where he served as general counsel. Before that, he was a shareholder in law firm GrayRobinson’s Fort Lauderdale office, representing clients in all legal aspects of acquisition, financing, development, construction, leasing and sale of various asset classes. He also managed his own law practice, Sheitelman Law, and served as associate general counsel for G.L. Homes of Florida.
Sheitelman holds a B.A. from Tulane University and a J.D. from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio. He also has a Master of Laws degree in securities and financial regulation from Georgetown University Law Center and an LLM in real property development from the University of Miami School of Law.
