Atlanta—CBRE announced the appointment of David Wagner as vice president of the Southeast Multifamily investment team in Atlanta. Wagner joined the team consisting of Malcolm McComb, Kevin Geiger, Paul Berry, Ashish Cholia and Shea Campbell. The 23-year commercial real estate veteran served in all roles regarding multifamily investment, bringing a versatile perspective to the team.

“Dave’s ability to see a transaction (from) angles others cannot, and to spot a solution ahead of a problem, will undoubtedly build advantage for our multifamily clients. Dave will be able to assist us in building the market share of middle market transactions, as well as an expertise in workforce housing,” David Lanier, CBRE’s Atlanta senior managing director, said in prepared remarks.

Wagner started his career in the multifamily sector with Sentinel Real Estate Corp. Shortly after, he landed a position with Harmony Properties as an assistant property manager, eventually moving to the corporate office where he was responsible for acquisitions, project management and IT systems, among others. “With each acquisition, I was involved in every aspect of the investment, learning and working alongside accomplished professionals. Understanding the real estate from the top down and the acquisition process from both sides of the table creates value that our clients really appreciate. Clients come first, always,” Wagner said in a prepared statement.

Having spent more than a decade in acquiring, renovating and repositioning deals, Wagner got into brokerage with Cushman & Wakefield and later in 2012 joined HFF.
