Carter Adds Jimmy Barry and TP Bullock to Senior Development Team

Carter, a real estate investment, development and advisory firm, announced the addition of Jimmy Barry as senior vice president of development and TP Bullock as vice president of construction and design.

Atlanta–Carter, a real estate investment, development and advisory firm, announced the addition of Jimmy Barry as senior vice president of development and TP Bullock as vice president of construction and design. In these positions, both will work closely with Carter’s development team to lead, manage and grow its multifamily, student housing and mixed-use business.

Barry brings more than 20 years of industry experience in project, budget and construction management. In his new role, he will provide oversight and expertise for office development, as well as construction and budget management for future and existing office deals. He will provide design and construction support for the new 338,000-square foot office building that Carter is building for General Electric at The Banks in Cincinnati. He will also identify and lead new office development opportunities for Carter across multiple markets.

Bullock joins Carter with nearly a decade of diverse real estate experience. As vice president, Bullock’s duties include managing the design and construction aspects of new student housing and multi-family developments. He will manage the design and construction of Carter’s most recent student housing project in Boise, Idaho, among other initiatives.

Prior to joining Carter, Barry served as director of project management and development services at Avison Young, where he was responsible for construction management, portfolio project management and third-party tenant improvement of fee-based management projects. During his career, Barry has been responsible for helping develop nine corporate build-to-suit projects across the Southeast, valued at more than $325 million. Barry earned a bachelor of business administration from the University of Georgia and an MBA with a concentration in real estate from Georgia State University.

Bullock previously worked for Juneau Construction, where he served as project manager for numerous projects including Emory University’s library renovation and Oglethorpe University’s new student center. Over the course of his career, he has managed the successful turnover and delivery of more than $250 million in construction across a spectrum of markets, including student housing, multi-family, hospitality, higher education and more. Bullock earned a Bachelor of Science from Auburn University.
