Campus Advantage added The Lyfe and The Row student housing communities to its management portfolio. Both properties are located in Columbia, Miss., and cater to students attending the University of Missouri.
“There is a tremendous opportunity for growth in this market and our consulting and operations teams agree partnering with a strong student housing operator will help these properties achieve their full potential,” said Pam West, vice president of operations at Campus Advantage. “We are excited to showcase our award winning operations team and make a fast and lasting impact at each of these properties.”
The Lyfe, located at 3904 Buttonwood Drive, offers 450 beds in two-, three- and four-bedroom units ranging from 951 to 1,648 square feet. Interior features include washer/dryers, spacious closets and fully furnished floorplans. Residents have access to amenities such as a swimming pool, outdoor basketball court, clubhouse with 24-hour fitness center, 24-hour computer lab with free printing, study lounge and meeting room, coffee bar, stand-up tanning bed, outdoor grilling area and a resident-only shuttle with access to campus and downtown.
The Row, located at 5151 Commercial Drive, offers 328 beds in two different styles of four-bedroom townhomes. Apartments include washer/dryers, spacious closets and bathrooms, individual patios and yards, two-car garages and utilities included. Students have access to community features like a swimming pool, 24-hour maintenance and also includes the shuttle service at The Lyfe.
“We have four other properties in this market and therefore know it well. We are excited to combine our knowledge of the market and student housing expertise with our Students First programming to inspire and equip residents of The Lyfe and The Row to thrive in all areas of life – living, learning and career,” West told Multi-Housing News. “We have a large number of support staff in the area, and through a calendar full of fun events, community service opportunities, referrals to campus and community resources, and workshops, are creating a dynamic and positive environment that enhances both student success and resident satisfaction.”
The company also partnered with Catalyst to create new marketing strategies for the properties, including new websites, social and digital strategies and improved marketing materials. Earlier this year, Campus Advantage was tapped to manage two Texas student housing communities: Liv+ in Arlington and Skyloft in Austin.
