Bradley Lerman Appointed General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Fannie Mae
Fannie Mae announced today it has appointed Bradley Lerman, 56, as executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary effective October 1, 2012.
Washington, D.C.—Fannie Mae announced today it has appointed Bradley Lerman, 56, as executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary effective October 1, 2012. Lerman joins Fannie Mae from Pfizer where he was senior vice president, associate general counsel and chief litigation counsel.
Lerman has over 25 years of legal experience. At Pfizer, Lerman was responsible for leading the company’s product and commercial litigation, government investigations, and patent litigation teams. He had responsibilities for Pfizer’s Discovery Response Team, civil and criminal justice reform program, and the Pfizer Legal Alliance program.
Prior to joining Pfizer, Lerman was a partner at Winston & Strawn and co-chair of the firm’s white collar defense practice group. He concentrated his practice in white collar defense, product liability and securities litigation matters. Lerman also previously served as an assistant U.S. attorney in the Northern District of Illinois from 1986 to 1994, holding various supervisory positions in the white collar prosecution divisions.
Lerman graduated summa cum laude from Yale University and received his law degree cum laude from Harvard Law School.
