Berkadia Hires Top Producer Mitch Thurston and Associate Andy Ahlers

Horsham, Pa.–Berkadia announced that Mitch Thurston and Andy Ahlers have rejoined the company as senior vice president and vice president, respectively. Thurston, beginning in 1992, and Ahlers, beginning in 1996, previously worked with Berkadia and its predecessor companies. Following a brief but very successful tenure with Northmarq, they return to Berkadia for its solid origination opportunities. Thurston, who will report to Executive Vice President and Head of Loan Production Karl Reinlein, was ranked Berkadia’s top producer in 2010, a distinction he also enjoyed at Northmarq in 2011. Thurston and Ahlers are based in Berkadia’s San Francisco office and will continue to focus on both commercial and multifamily lending.
